So if the forcast for the next day says rain wait until the animals are all inside and close the door the night prior before going to bed. The chance of large eggs milk feathers and so forth is lowered if you leave the door open.

They won t go outside during the winter even if it s not snowing so unless you want to chance them getting eaten by wolves i d say keep the doors closed.
